I have made this letter longer than usual, only because I have not had time to make it shorter — Blaise Pascal
This is a quote commonly quoted as coming from Mark Twain, but it was actually the mathematician Blaise Pascal. It is a relevant quote for me because it’s exactly how I feel about Soul Census and Majesty’s Offspring. There are sections of both works that suffer from a bit of bloat, slowing down some of the better action sequences.
So, in attempt to correct this, I have gone through a heavy pass of Soul Census and cut out a few thousand unnecessary words. Hopefully, this will allow new readers (or repeat readings) to go more smoothly. If you have purchased the eBook already, you can send a request to Amazon to send you the latest revision to your device at no cost.
I will be doing the same to Majesty’s Offspring in the coming weeks, as time allows. My primary focus now though is finishing War of Shadows, the sequel to Soul Census.
Will post more updates as things progress, cheers!
